Dua After Wudu in Arabic

Ashhadu an la Ilaha illallahu Wahdahu la Sharika Lah, wa Ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'Abduhu wa Rasuluh

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.

Meaning

Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah means "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah", wahdahu la sharika lah means "alone, with no partner", and ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh means "I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger". Umar ibn al-Khattab reported that the Prophet said whoever does wudu well and then says this, the eight gates of Paradise are opened for him to enter by whichever he wishes. Muslim recorded it. Al-Tirmidhi's version adds a request to be among those who repent and those who purify themselves.

When to say it: Said right after finishing wudu, before going to pray.

The hadith in Sahih Muslim says the eight gates of Paradise are opened for the one who says it, to enter by whichever one he wishes.

Is there a dua before wudu?

Say Bismillah before starting. The duas often printed for washing each part of the body are not found in authentic hadith.
