Meaning
A'udhu bika means "I seek refuge in You", and al-khubuth wal-khaba'ith is usually explained as male and female devils, or as evil and evil things. Anas ibn Malik reported that the Prophet said this when he went to the toilet, and al-Bukhari and Muslim recorded it. It is said before going in, since Allah's name is not mentioned inside. On coming out, the Prophet said Ghufranak, "I ask Your forgiveness".
When to say it: Said just before entering the toilet or bathroom, while still outside.
Also spelled Allahumma inni audhu bika minal khubuthi wal khabaith, Allahumma inni a'uzu bika minal khubusi wal khabais, Dua for entering the bathroom, Toilet dua, Dua before entering toilet.
