Meaning
Barakallahu lakuma means "may Allah bless you both", wa baraka 'alaykuma means "and send blessing down on you both", and wa jama'a baynakuma fi khayr means "and bring you together in goodness". Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet congratulated people who had married with these words. The ending -kuma is the Arabic form for two people, so it speaks to the bride and groom together.
When to say it: Said to congratulate a newly married couple, at the nikah or when hearing of a wedding.
Also spelled Barakallahu lakuma wa baraka alaikuma, Baarakallaahu lakuma, Barakallah lakuma, Barakallahu lakuma wa baraka alaykuma wa jama'a bainakuma fi khair, Nikah Mubarak.

Common questions
What is the Islamic way to congratulate on a wedding?
The wording from the Sunnah is "Barakallahu lakuma wa baraka 'alaykuma wa jama'a baynakuma fi khayr". Many people also say "Mabrook" (congratulations) or "Nikah Mubarak".
Why lakuma and not laka?
Lakuma is the form for two people, the couple. To one person you would say "Barakallahu laka" to a man or "Barakallahu laki" to a woman.
