Dua for Leaving Home in Arabic

Bismillah, Tawakkaltu 'alallah, la Hawla wa la Quwwata illa Billah

In the name of Allah, I put my trust in Allah, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah.

Meaning

Bismillah means "in the name of Allah", tawakkaltu 'alallah means "I put my trust in Allah", and la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah means "there is no power and no strength except with Allah". Anas ibn Malik reported that the Prophet said whoever says this on leaving home is told, "You are guided, taken care of and protected", and the devils move away from him. Abu Dawud recorded it, and al-Tirmidhi has a shorter version: "You are taken care of and protected."

When to say it: Said when stepping out of the house, for work, school, shopping or travel.
