Dua for Waking Up in Arabic

Alhamdu Lillahil-ladhi Ahyana ba'da ma Amatana wa Ilayhin-Nushur

All praise is for Allah, who gave us life after He had caused us to die, and to Him we will be raised.

Meaning

Alhamdu lillah means "all praise is for Allah", alladhi ahyana means "who gave us life", ba'da ma amatana means "after He caused us to die", and wa ilayhin-nushur means "and to Him is the resurrection". The Quran describes sleep as Allah taking the soul and sending it back, so waking is a small return to life. Hudhayfah reported that the Prophet said this when he woke up, and al-Bukhari recorded it. It pairs with the dua before sleeping.

When to say it: Said when you wake up.

Also spelled Alhamdulillahilladhi ahyana, Alhamdulillahillazi ahyana ba'da ma amatana, Dua after waking up, Dua when waking up.
