Common questions
Is there a dua for anxiety in Islam?
Yes. This is the best-known one: the Prophet often asked Allah for refuge from worry and grief with these words. Another is the dua of Yunus, La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin.
Can I say it for depression?
Yes, any Muslim can make this dua in any hardship. Dua sits alongside other help, so it is still right to talk to people you trust and to see a doctor.
