Meaning
Al-'afiyah means well-being: good health, safety and protection from harm in body, faith and life. Abdullah ibn Umar said the Prophet never left these words in the morning and the evening, and Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah recorded them. When the Prophet's uncle al-Abbas asked what he should ask Allah for, he told him to ask for 'afiyah, and when al-Abbas asked again later, he gave the same answer: 'afiyah in this world and the next. Al-Tirmidhi recorded it.
When to say it: Said every morning and evening, and whenever you ask Allah for health and safety for yourself or your family.
Also spelled Allahumma inni as'alukal afiyah, Allahumma inni asalukal afiyata fid dunya wal akhirah, Dua for good health, Dua for wellbeing, Afiyah dua.

What does 'afiyah mean?
Well-being in the widest sense: health and safety, and being spared from trials, sin and punishment, in this life and the next.
Is there a dua for the health of the body?
Yes: Allahumma 'afini fi badani, Allahumma 'afini fi sam'i, Allahumma 'afini fi basari, "O Allah, give me health in my body, my hearing and my sight". Abu Bakrah said it three times every morning and evening, because he had heard the Prophet make this dua. Abu Dawud recorded it.
