Meaning
Labbayk means "here I am, answering Your call", Allahumma means "O Allah", la sharika lak means "You have no partner", and innal-hamda wan-ni'mata laka wal-mulk means "all praise, blessing and dominion are Yours". It is the pilgrim's answer to the call to Hajj. Pilgrims repeat it from entering ihram, men aloud and women more quietly, until they begin tawaf on Umrah or until they throw the first pebbles at Jamarat al-Aqabah on Hajj.
When to say it: Said by pilgrims on Hajj and Umrah, again and again, from the moment they enter ihram.
Also spelled Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labaik Allahuma Labaik, Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk, Talbiya, Talbiyah.
Said on Day of Arafah.
